In order to meet our internal quality standards, we regularly have the measuring ranges of our VdS-certified sprinkler orifice plates SMB DN 80, DN 100, DN 150, DN 200, and DN 250 verified by the LBME. This verification is carried out voluntarily and is not required by VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH.

For each nominal diameter, the SMB sprinkler orifice plate has an approved measuring range. The updated calibration certificates confirm that the SMB units continue to meet the required accuracy specifications. For this purpose, the measured values of each device size are recorded on the high-precision large-scale water flow test rig at LBME.

Water is discharged from a 30-meter-high tower with a volume of 30 m³ through the sprinkler orifice plate and collected in a calibrated tank. The flow rate is adjusted according to the SMB scale. The recorded water volume in the 10 m³ measuring tank and the measurement time are used to determine the actual flow rate.

The new calibration certificates confirm that all SMB sprinkler orifice plates comply with the specified measured values.
