APPLICATIONS
The SGK 1–3 flow meters are used for measuring and direct indication of very small flow rates of gases and liquids. These flow meters are designed for use in systems with limited space, laboratories, and technical rooms.
DESCRIPTION
The measuring principle is based on a variable-area flow meter consisting of a calibrated conical glass tube and a freely moving float inside it. The glass measuring tube (3) is sealed at both ends by O-rings, which are protected against breakage by flat gaskets installed in the heads (1) and (2).
These flow meters can be equipped with a control valve for fine adjustment and limit switches for remote monitoring. The switching output can be connected to a PLC or monitoring device. SGK 2 and 3 can be equipped with a Hall-effect linear displacement sensor for transmission of a 4–20 mA or 0–10 V signal.

Limit switches: These flow meters can be equipped with a magnetic float and bistable electrical reed contacts, adjustable across the entire measuring range. For very low flow rates (up to 30 l/h), inductive contact detection is used in the RC series.
4–20 mA or 0–10 V output: The output signal is generated using a Hall-effect linear displacement sensor. The 0–20 mA or 0–10 V signal is proportional to the float position. The sensor is connected via the supplied M12 x 1 connector. This output is ideal for PLC integration. The device is compact and offers high repeatability.
