The SGM series devices operate according to the variable area (float) principle.

Wherever a reliable device is required for instantaneous flow indication and flow monitoring in pipelines, the SGM provides a dependable solution for measuring liquids and gases. Due to magnetic transmission of the float position to the indicator, the SGM—unlike standard glass-tube variable area flowmeters—is also suitable for measuring opaque media.

Each device is individually calibrated according to customer requirements and provided with a fluid-specific scale.

For process control, the instrument can be equipped with limit switches and/or a signal converter with an electrical analog output.
