The SKM piston flow meter is used for position-independent measurement of water, oils, or other liquids. The SKM can be installed in both horizontal and vertical pipelines. The devices are equipped with a spring-loaded piston located in a cylindrical measuring tube made of borosilicate glass.

The piston with orifice bore, together with the spring, forms the measuring system. When the SKM is in operation, the piston changes position proportionally to the volumetric flow rate. The flow rate is read directly at the upper edge of the piston on a scale located on the glass.

The measuring device is available in sizes G ¼ to G 2.
