These differential pressure flow meters are among the most widely used. They are applied in flow measurement of liquids, gases, and steam across various industries. They are suitable for a wide range of operating conditions, from standard applications (water lines, swimming pools, etc.) to high-pressure and high-temperature processes (steam lines, hydrocarbons, etc.), as well as aggressive fluids. They are cost-effective and highly reliable for measuring natural gas or wet gas. The differential pressure flow meter covers a wide range of pipe diameters.
DESCRIPTION
The device operates on the differential pressure principle, where the pressure drop is proportional to the square of the volumetric flow rate through the pipeline. The DDM-DS11 series flow meters consist of an orifice plate with an opening integrated into a fitting with flange or threaded connection. The lower and upper pressure ports on both sides of the orifice accommodate pressure indicators according to customer specifications.
Measurement reliability depends on a stable flow profile at the measurement point. Straight pipe runs are required: 6× DN upstream and 4× DN downstream (DN = nominal pipe diameter).
